Message from the Principal

Welcome to W. G. Rice Elementary!

W.G. Rice Elementary is the first step in your child’s journey through an outstanding education through the South Middleton School District. We welcome kindergarten, first and second grade to a safe and supportive environment that challenges student to grow academically, socially and emotionally.

The faculty is dedicated to our students and their families. Together we endeavor to promote learning as a way-of-life where all are expected to perform to their greatest potential. We also strive to develop a level of respect within our students that will allow them to be responsible citizens in the future.

We are very fortunate to have a PTO organization which is very active in our school community. Serving all elementary students (Grades K – 5), it sponsors the annual May fair, supports field trip expenses, conducts a Breakfast with Santa, and has a five-day Secret Santa Shop. They also support classroom activities by providing financial support to classroom teachers where needed. Volunteering with the PTO is a great way to get involved with your child’s education.

It is a pleasure for me to be part of the W. G. Rice Elementary family. I am proud of our students, faculty/staff and community. For more information about our school or school district, I may be contacted through e-mail at [email protected] or phone (717-258-6484 x 3400).

Looking forward to an awesome school year.
