The secondary School Counselors, Psychologists, and Director of Student Services will be hosting a parent/guardian training session on the Signs of Suicide (SOS) Prevention Program on March 11, from 6pm to 7pm via zoom. The purpose of the presentation is to help give parents a better understanding of the SOS program and how they can talk to their child about the topics of suicide and depression.
Presenters will provide a Q&A session at the end to cover general questions about the program and how SMSD is supporting students. If you have a more specific question or personal matter to talk about, please contact your child's school counselor or SMSD staff individually to honor confidentiality. A zoom link has been sent to parents/guardians through email by Dr. Strine, Mr. Hain, and Dr. White. If you have difficulty locating the zoom link and want to attend, please contact your child's counselor and they will forward you the zoom link.
Our Student Services Team hopes to see you there!
